"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Rom.3:23).
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Rom.5:12).
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Rom.6:23).
God's Word, the Bible says, "...behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (1 Cor.6:2). This means God's saving grace only guarantees your salvation by Jesus now - today, by receiving Christ as your personal Saviour. Not tomorrow, as tomorrow may never come to your life.
"And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son (Jesus Christ) to be the Saviour of the world" (1 John 4:14).
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son" (1 John 5:11).
Salvation and eternal life is not in the Catholic Church, or in the Mormon Church, or in the Jehovah Witness Church, or in the Muslim religion, or in any religion. Salvation and eternal life is in Jesus Christ, God's Son, alone.
Jesus said, "I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me" (John 14:6). The Catholic Church, the Mormon Church, the Jehovah Witness Church, the Muslim religion, no church, and no religion is the way to heaven. Jesus said: I Am the Way. If ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins (John 8:24,14:6).
"And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is True, and we are in Him that is True, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the True God, and eternal life" (1 John 5:20).
"For He (God the Father) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ" (2 Cor.5:21).
"...we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom we have now received the Atonement (for our sins)" (Rom.5:11). "...Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us" (1 Cor.5:7).
"For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins" (Heb.10:4). "The life of the flesh is in the blood" (Lev.17:11). The physical life of Jesus is in Christ's blood.
Jesus loved us, and gave Himself for us by sacrificing His life for us, by shedding His blood for the remission of our sins; for without shedding of blood there is no remission of sins (Gal.2:20;Rev.1:5;Heb.9:22).
"For Christ also hath ONCE suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened (or made alive) by the Spirit" (1 Peter 3:18).
"And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven" (Col.1:20).
We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE for all. After Jesus Christ had offered ONE sacrifice for sins forever, He died, and physically rose again from the dead on the third day, ascended up into heaven, and sat down on the right hand of God (Heb.10:10,12;Eph.4:8;Acts 1:11;1 Cor.15:4).
"Jesus gave Himself a ransom for all" to pay our sin debt that we owed to God (1 Tim.2:6;Rom.6:23). "In Christ we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins (Col.1:14).
"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot" (1 Peter 1:18-19).
"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son (Jesus) to be the Propitiation for our sins" (1 John 4:10). Propitiation means Jesus bored God's wrath against our sins for us, to appease God's wrath against us, and to save us from God's wrath to come! Glory to God!
Why God's Word says, "Much more then, being now justified by Christ's blood, we shall be saved from (God's) wrath through Him" (Rom.5:9). "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Thess.5:9). "And to wait for His Son from heaven, Whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come" (1 Thess.1:10).
"For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation...and the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance" (2 Cor.7:10;Rom.2:4).
"...God now commandeth all men every where to repent" (Acts 17:30). And "The Lord is...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out by Jesus, Who loved us, and washed us from our sins in His Own blood (Acts 3:19;Rev.1:5).
Jesus said, "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 5:32,13:3). "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Rom.10:13). Right now, wherever you are, ask Jesus to forgive your sins, and receive Christ as your personal Saviour.
"If we confess our sins, Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Only Jesus can forgive our sins. Not any catholic pope, priest, or virgin Mary. For God's Word, the Bible says, Christ died for our sins" and only Jesus has all power to forgive us, and to save us from our sins (1 Cor.15:3). Not any earthly priest, pope, or virgin Mary.
For our sins are against God, not against any earthly priest, pope, or virgin Mary. This is why God's Word, the Bible says, we must have "...repentance towards God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ" in Acts 20:21. For it wasn't any priest, pope, or virgin Mary dying on Calvary's cross; but it was Jesus dying on His cross for us, to save us from our sins, as our one and only Saviour.
It doesn't matter how grave your sins are. The Bible says, "Wherefore Jesus is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them" (Heb.7:25).
The Bible says: Jesus Christ is the One Mediator between God and men, the Head of His Church, our Great High Priest, and our Intercessor and Advocate with God, the Father (1 Tim.2:1,5;Col.1:18;Eph.1:22,5:23;Heb.4:14;Rom.8:34). Not the Virgin Mary, nor any earthly priest or pope.
Once you confess your sins to Jesus, and Christ forgives you, and saves you from your sins. Jesus says, "go, and sin no more," and Christ gives you His Spirit power to live a righteous life before God (John 8:11;Romans 8:1-14).
"Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness" (Rom.6:18). Jesus, "Who His Own Self bare our sins in His Own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness, by Whose stripes ye were healed" (1 Peter 2:24).
"Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace" (Rom.6:11,14).
All saved Christians will be tempted by sin. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). "Seeing then that we have a Great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Heb.4:14,16)
"But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:7,9).
For "In Christ we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace" (Eph.1:7). "I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name's sake" (1 John 2:12).
When Jesus offered His body as the ONE atoning sacrifice for sins forever, once for all (Heb.10:10,12). Christ said, "It is finished: and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost" (John 19:30).
There is nothing we can do to save ourselves. For Jesus did it all for us, as the ONE atoning sacrifice for our sins, once for all, and it is finished! Glory to God! We cannot save ourselves by our good works. "For all have sinned, and there is none righteous, no, not one" (Rom.3:10,23). The only good work that can save us is the good cross work of Jesus Christ, Who loved us, and He died and rose again to save us from our sins, as the Saviour of the world (1 John 4:14;1 Tim.4:10).
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast" (Eph.2:8-9). This means doing the Catholic sacraments cannot save you or anyone, and no religion can save you. Jesus alone paid the price for our sins, and Christ died and rose again to save us from our sins and hell. This is why God's Word, the Bible says: Jesus is The Way to heaven. No church or religion is the way of salvation to heaven.
Once Jesus saves us, and we totally trust in Christ alone as our Saviour. Christ's Spirit beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God, and we have no doubt about our salvation in Jesus (Rom..8:16). The Bible says, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that YE MAY KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God" (1 John 5:13).
"For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day" (2 Tim.1:12).
The greatest deception of the Devil is trying to deceive us to believe that we can name the name of Christ, and call ourselves a "Christian," and still live a willful life of sin against Jesus, and deceivingly believe we are still saved and going to heaven by it.
But Jesus saves us FROM our sins. Not FOR our sins. And when Jesus saves us, Christ says, "Go, and sin no more" (John 8:11). Not, "Go and sin more," as sin always separates us from God.
This is why God's Word exhorts us, "Therefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith..." (Heb.12:1-2).
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world" (1 Peter 5:8-9).
The Bible says, "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" (2 Cor.13:5).
Have we really repented and turned from our sins against Holy God, and are we truly saved by Jesus FROM our sins? Or are we deceived by living FOR our sins? Which is the devil's deceived way to hell.
God's Word, the Bible warns us, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God" (1 Cor..6:9-11).
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death" (Rev.21:8).
"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness (lewdness), Idolatry, witchcraft (sorcery), hatred (hating anyone is sin), variance (contentions), emulations (jealousies), wrath, strife, seditions (dissensions), heresies (false teachers), envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (Gal.5:19-21).
Those that ignore God's warning in His Word, and live a willful life of any sin described in the verses above. They are not TRULY saved by Jesus FROM their sins. For they are still living FOR their sin, and they identify WITH THEIR SIN.
As Christ's true salvation is Jesus saves us FROM our sins, and we identify with Christ, and His righteousness, by living a righteous life before Christ, according to His Word.
"In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother" (1 John 3:10).
Those that willfully live in their sin against Jesus, and identify with their sin. They may call themselves a "Christian," but they are deceiving themselves to hell by it, as religious but lost souls.
Yes, "They profess that they know God; but in works they deny Jesus, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate" (Titus 1:16).
If such religious but lost souls don't repent. In Matt.7:22-23, on Judgment Day, Jesus will say to them, "Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? And in Thy name have cast out devils? And in Thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity."
"For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Rom.8:13-14).
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit" (Rom.8:1, Authorized KJV).
Jesus said, "I am the Resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. If ye believe not that I Am He, ye shall die in your sins" (John 8:24, 11:25).
